Ventilation systems are in constant use in both the work and home environment to reduce air contamination; they consist of a supply and extraction mechanism with the extraction system removing the contaminated air while the supply system brings clean air into the environment.
The pipes and fittings associated with these systems become contaminated which reduces the system’s performance and in some cases can increase the risk of fire. In a supply system, even the smallest amount of contamination can create a breeding ground for bacteria which can be carried along the airflow and potentially cause illness. To avoid these problems it is vital that regular system inspections are undertaken.

As a result of new legislation phasing out some coolants on environmental grounds - As from 31st December 2009, the sale and use of virgin R22 will be prohibited by legislation. This popular refrigerant is in use in more than 700,000 air conditioning systems in the UK.
There will a need over the next few years for companies to innovate and adapt. From 2009 - 2014 most companies will have to review their air conditioning systems. Whilst in many cases it may be possible just to replace the refrigerants, this is also a good time to review the whole air conditioning system.
It could prove more cost effective to replace an older system completely or provide modifications involving the new technologies of Heat Recovery Ventilation and Cool Stream Ventilation. what's the incentive? These new systems are energy efficient saving you money. Not only that the Government is offering financial incentives.
